Astralis are the second grand finalists of Counter Pit League Season 2 Final after defeating NRG convincingly 2-0 (de_dust2 16-3, de_train 16-9).

The second semi-final of Counter Pit League S2 Finals between Astralis and NRG was kicked off by Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen and Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen who picked up doubles in the pistol round as Counter-Terrorists on de_dust2.

The Danish powerhouse quickly got to a commanding 9-1 lead, as Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik's squad only managed to win the first gunround up until that point. A 1-on-2 clutch by Samuel "⁠SileNt⁠" Portillo gave them a second round in the half, but their economy got reset right afterwards.

Before the half ended NRG picked up one more for 3-12 in a quasi-buy B rush, however the second pistol round and all following forcebuys were won by Astralis, which gave them a convincing 16-3 victory.

Astralis defeat NRG with ease and advance to the grand final

The beginning of de_train wasn't much different, Astralis got to a quick 5-0 lead before NRG got a round on the board on the back of a 3-on-5 retake on the A bombsite.

Their economy got reset once Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth and René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg picked up doubles in the following gunround, and they had to double eco and faced an 1-8 deficit. Two rounds in a row helped them gain some confidence, which the Danes destroyed with a quasi-buy victory thanks to brilliant play from dupreeh and cajunb.

That allowed Astralis to close out the remaining rounds of the half for another 12-3 halftime score, soon turned into 13-3 after the second pistol round. NRG replied in the following forcebuy however, as well as in the first gunround where Justin "⁠just9n⁠" Ortiz clutched a 1-on-2 with one HP remaining. 

Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz's clutch then forced the Danes on an eco, but they couldn't complete the comeback despite getting six rounds in a row, as Astralis won all three remaining for 16-9, 2-0.
