RAIDERS have topped the first ESPC Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament in Helsinki with a 2-0 win (16-7 de_dust2_se, 16-10 de_train_se) over FR34KSHOW in the grand final to win 700€.
Group A at ESPC #1 saw arguably the surprise of the event, RAIDERS, come out on top after three straight wins over Recursive, Paranoia and Slaava "Twista" Räsänen's Eternity Gaming.
RCTIC went 0-3 in group B, and despite tying FR34KSHOW on de_train_se, Menace ended up being the second team to go out. Mistral advanced in second place after losing on purpose in their head-to-head match, according to Henri "HENKSU" Alame.
The first semi-final saw RAIDERS continue their undefeated run as they plowed through Mistral, whose strategy in throwing a match clearly yielded no results, with two quick 16-6 wins on de_train_se and de_mirage_csgo.
reflex wasn't enough help for FR34KSHOW to top ESPC #1
FR34KSHOW, with Curse's Timo "reflex" Rintala as a stand-in, then took down Eternity in the other semi-final that went into the third map with scores of 16-11 on de_train_se, 13-16 on de_nuke_se and 13-16 on de_mirage_csgo.
Third place went to Eternity Gaming after two more close results as they scored 16-13 wins on both de_train_se and de_inferno_se to guarantee themselves a podium finish and 200€.
RAIDERS completed their surprise run in the grand final as FR34KSHOW stood no chance, only managing to score seven and ten rounds on de_dust2_se and de_train_se2 en route to a 0-2 defeat. ESPC CS:GO #1Best of 2 RAIDERS
